Pastor W. Andrew Best, Jr. grew up as the son of a minister in Middletown, N.Y. Coming from a somewhat small community, considered a suburb of N.Y. city, he knows well the touch of closeness and family. Pastor Best was noted at an early age for his gift in music. At the age of four he discovered that he had perfect pitch. This opened up many doors for him in the area of music. At his birth it was declared by his Godmother (Elizabeth Monroe, now deceased) that he would be a special man of God. Growing up as a church kid, Pastor Best never wanted to be a minister because of what he saw his own family go through from church pressure. He also had many responsibilities as a child in the church because he was so gifted, becoming the minister of music at the age of twelve. At one point he began to wonder if this music “thing” was a blessing or a curse because everyone wanted him for what he could do and no one seemed to be interested in him, the person. At 16 years old Pastor Best and his singing group of high school comrades happened upon the opportunity to open a concert for Fred Hammond and “Commissioned”. After that show Hammond sought Pastor Best to be a musician for his group, but Pastor Best’s mom said, “No way, not my baby!” After graduating from high school Pastor Best went to community college in his home town and then transferred to Mortuary School in Pittsburgh, PA. He stayed there for 3 years and completed the program he was in and then moved back to N.Y. Along the way Pastor Best met and contributed into the ministry of countless people, Pastor’s, Bishop’s and the like. After moving back home to try to help his dad once again, things were not working out for him. He felt that there was a larger purpose for him and he began to seek elsewhere for his destiny.

Pastor Best decided he would move to Michigan to pursue a job offer at a church there. After being there for one year he had to come back to the east coast after finding out that a child that he fathered was being expected. This of course being a blow to him and his ministry caused him to center his thoughts and his goals and focus on what needed to happen next. What would people think about a child out of wedlock to the son of a minister? To his surprise there were people who still loved and helped him along the way. After moving to Baltimore, Pastor Best decided he needed a home for he and his son. He began to make connections in the Baltimore/D.C. metropolitan area. In 2000 Pastor Best began a singing group after meeting a multitude of singers. They were immediately recognized as one of the area’s top performers. As time passed and Pastor Best served and served in ministry he finally decided to accept his call to the ministry. This was something he had been running from since childhood. In 2003 he was ordained as a minister. Since the time of the ordination, Pastor Best has had the opportunity to share the Gospel through the preached Word as well as through his gift in music. There is an anointing on the life of this young man that the World is coming to know. After moving to Maryland, Pastor Best met his wife and they were married. Shortly thereafter, a daughter was added to the union. Pastor Best currently serves the Body of Christ as Senior Pastor of Worship World, a Christian non-denominational church.
